Carlos Sentís video message, Global Citizen Initiative Ministry of Youth of Egypt and African Youth Bureau
Short video message in Arabic for the Ministry of Youth of Egypt and the African Youth Bureau. Thank you so much for inviting me to your Global Citizen initiative.
We need more globalization, not less
Globalization has provided so much value and contributed so much to human development and the improvement of the state of the World. We cannot let fear break bonds, create distance, undo progress, strip us from our freedoms, deviate us from the protection of human rights and take us back in time after such an extraordinary success of integration, social, cultural and economic exchange.
Fostering international cooperation is more important than ever. There shall be no space to racism, discrimination, war, violence and hatred in the new World. It is up to us to define the policies and the culture that will prevail.

What an incredible honor to speak to 5.000 young leaders and policy makers from 164 different nationalities at the closing ceremony of the World Youth Forum in Egypt this week.
More than 300.000 applications to participate from all over the world, and only 8.000 selected to gather to work on solutions and actions for a better world. Impressed by the vision of H.E President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of giving the youth a powerful voice and the opportunity to be a part of the future we all want to create.
So grateful to the WYF and the Egyptian Government and to all the amazing people I had the privilege to meet during the forum.
So happy to share the work we are doing with the @World Impact Alliance and all our partners, Social Impact innovation, UN SDGs and ideas about meaning and life to the audience that gave me so much during and after the event.
Will share videos soon and other images with the rest of my participation in WYF.

“I feel so happy after hearing your words that I want to cry”, “Thank you for inspiring me. It moved me so much and gave me so much hope for the future”. Absolutely moved by some of the beautiful things students at Universidad Francisco de Vitoria told me after my lectures last week.
So grateful for the time I had with them, and for all the incredible opportunities I get to talk with people from so many different cultures, nationalities, ages and professional backgrounds.
This time we talked about self awareness, mental health, skill development, empathy and long term oriented goals to make sure that every day, slowly but surely, we get closer to become who we aspire to be. We are all so different and unique that we need to do all we can to know what is important for us, what we need, what we want, what we like and what we fear to be able to design a tailored life that suits us. We need to create our own game instead of living under rules set by others that we don't even agree with, constantly struggling to achieve someone else's dreams.
We are not born with the same opportunities, but we do have the opportunity of doing what we can to improve our conditions and the situation for others. So please, let us not punish ourselves for things that we couldn't decide, let us not take for granted all the good things we have in life, and let us focus on assuming the responsibility of doing our best to go from where we are at to where we believe we should go. Let us do our best to be good human beings, to generate more good and more value, let us take care of ourselves and the others, fight injustice and avoid violence.
Every crisis is an opportunity to rise and every step forward is the sign of hope we need to become better. We cannot define where we come from, but we are responsible for our thoughts, our words and our actions. Let us use whatever we are and whatever we have now to create a better future. Let us build something great together. We shall be strong to deal with suffering and tragedies and appreciate every moment. Let us live as if it was the last time. Because it may be.

Arabic - English video message for the Scholarships and Awards Summit in Egypt
Dear all, I share with you the video message I sent for close to 2000 students and education professionals participating in the Scholarships and Awards Summit that took place yesterday in Cairo. Unfortunately, I didn´t make it to participate in person, hopefully next time.
To all my arabic speaking friends, please let me know if you can understand me, I was so concerned we added subtitles..
Let me express my gratitude to the organizers of the event for their kind invitation, and my apologies to all of you for not being able to be in Cairo today.
My heart is and will be with you and I hope we have opportunities to meet and to collaborate in the future.
I would love to be there in Beautiful Egypt, eating Mulukhea, enjoying your heritage, the beautiful Nile and the warmth hospitality of your people.
I love your country and I promise I will go back to Egypt soon.
Before I start, I am very sorry that my arabic is so bad.
I started studying only a month ago, and even though arabic is very beautiful, it is very difficult, and possibly you cannot understand a word I am saying. I hope you can forgive me.
I am Carlos Sentís, founder of the World Impact Alliance, an international organization whose goal is to help making the world a better place, by finding and developing solutions for problems in education, environment, poverty and human rights.
We are bringing together remarkable people , from all over the world , to do social impact projects, finding 500 solutions for a better world, And find business ideas to generate impact
and advocating for the implementation of innovative models that can enable companies, institutions and individuals to help the millions of people that are in need.
Today is the first day of your new life.
Today, and every day, is a new opportunity to become better, to fight against all challenges, to move towards our goals and to get closer to becoming the person we aspire to be.
Today is a very important day because we are together deciding our future.
It is important because we are creating the path for a prosperous, happy and meaningful life.
Dear students, leaders, friends
Despite how lucky many of us are, we shall never forget, and must never accept, that hundreds of millions of people all over the world experience horrible tragedies every day.
All the girls that are sold for sexual exploitation, women who still suffer FGM, all the people that die and lose their loved ones as a consequence of wars. There are terrorist attacks and bombings every day, corrupt leaders that force citizens to live in horrible conditions and even starve to death to protect their own interests. There is still so much racism and discrimination, so much violence and hatred towards other cultures and religions. There are millions of refugees and forced migrants who tragically lose their lives escaping from poverty and conflict.
There is close to 1 billion people without access to clean water, without secured access to food, without proper shelter, without proper sanitation or access to quality healthcare. So many people live extremely challenging lives because of disease. Too many children don't have access to quality education and, without education, there is very little space to prosper and a huge risk for radicalization.
Life is certainly not fair. Some of us are extremely lucky and yet, often times, we take everything for granted and not recognize how privileged we are.
We cannot decide where we come from, we cannot choose what happens to us but we can decide how to respond to the challenges that we will inevitably face before we leave earth. We are not born with the same opportunities, but we all do have the opportunity of do more to improve our lives and help others. Assuming full responsibility is the only way to become better. Every crisis is an opportunity to rise and every step forward is the sign of hope we need to keep fighting for the world we aspire to live in.
You are extraordinarily powerful and capable of achieving the most incredible goals. You have a huge potential to do so much more than what you think possible, and there is so much you can do to generate a positive influence others and to help making the world a better place, that I would feel devastated if you decided to live a mediocre life, and not to do all you can to provide value to those in need while living a happy and prosperous life.
Before you start your journey, it is vital to first think what do you want to accomplish, what are your goals and your purpose, because if you don't know where you are going, it is impossible to get there. We are all different and unique, so don't live based on other people's expectations or dreams, design a life your yourself that suits you. Create your own game.
Regardless of your starting point, you need to secure the best living conditions you can for you and your family. I want you to be incredibly successful. And for that, you will need to develop skills and learn every day. Learn languages, learn how to do sales, public relations, public speaking, coding, software, video, design, writing... You will need hundreds or even thousands of contacts, you will need to adapt constantly, you will need to prove useful to others and provide value to the market. You will need to sacrifice, you will need determination, hard work, perseverance and a lot of patience. It is a long term race, don't rush.
It is not going to be easy, you will have to deal with mean bosses and clients, you will make mistakes, you will feel anxiety and stress, you will deal with rejection and failure. But everything will be worth it if you keep moving towards your goals.
Now It is your turn to decide what legacy you want to leave behind. It is your turn to be the best person you can be. It is your time to grow, to enjoy and to love.
Let us appreciate every moment. Let us build something great together. Let us live as if it was the last time. Because it may be.
Let us Save the world, make money and be happy.

Africa Tour May 2020: Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal
Dear friends, I could not be more excited about this.
Ie Business School asked me to give a series of executive education lectures and masterclasses in Africa in May, and I will use the opportunity to teach in as many schools as possible and to arrange coaching sessions with kids to do my best to help them with their future development.
I don´t know the exact dates yet, but I should be in Lagos the 12th of may, and remain in Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal a total of 12 days.
If you are there, you have any project on social impact, education or youth empowerment, please let me know and let us work together.
It will be my first trip to Sub-Saharan Africa, but certainly not the last one. I hope everything works fine and I can make it. If there is any problem, I promise I will make it happen soon enough.
Big hugs and blessings to all.

𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗰 !
After 10 years thinking about it, I finally started learning arabic two months ago.
I am very happy with the progress I´m making thanks to my amazing teacher Haya Saif, from Syria, that is now joining the team, and starting this week I will be studying more than 4 hours per day until I am able to speak it fluently.
It is such a beautiful language but I have to say so far it seems to me clearly more difficult than chinese... at least grammar wise.
A lof of friends have asked me why do I want to learn it. First of all, there are more than 𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 that speak the language coming from 𝟮𝟱 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.
Second, it has been one of my goals to speak, what I consider to be, the world´s most relevant 5 languages (𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲, 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗰, not necesarily in that order)
Third, learning about a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 and a new language allows you to gain so much perspective, to better understand, connect and collaborate with people.
Lastly, as we all know, besides the 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 the arab markets are bringing to the world, there are, also, many 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 that are affecting or somehow related with the arab speaking population.
I want to be able to participate in conflict prevention and resolution, cooperation and 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 advocacy in the region, and I believe it is vital to speak the language to be effective, to provide more value and to build bridges with the rest of the world.
I hope I am ready for #DubaiExpo2020, either way, I am learning so much that the journey is already incredibly valuable.
This video is from an interview in Egypt. Unfortunately I could not do it in arabic. I hope one day soon I can share with you a live interview speaking it.
